New graphic blog - always beta:) May 20, 2010 New subjective so far been put on the default graphics WordPress. Ultimately, I wanted to find my satisfaction in the Web template, but despite thousands of different templates on the Web (or perhaps precisely for that reason) - I could not find "the one" for me. So I decided to progressively modify the default layout, creating a kind of experiment.
She's not bad - primarily increased the width of the page and podrasowałem header and footer. I also have some other ideas that I will be dished out over time - so stay tuned;)

Even with the creation of mourning version of sites, or css2gray May 15, 2010 Some time ago I wrote about creating a black and white version of the site, for example, for the funeral of graphic design site.
Recent tragic events have caused among other things, that I had to quickly create several versions of the memorial Web sites that run. It turned out that I have described webaplikacja GrayBit does not meet my expectations - it is very slow and likes to hang with more code and graphics.
So I decided to act and, although the developer of mnei rather poor, I could write a simple PHP script that converts the color values of any file in a format, or # # HHH hhhhhh to grayscale.
I decided to share it, because someone could still come in handy - so I present Pchełka css2gray. Enjoy.

Looking for nice fonts April 21, 2010


It is widely known that selecting for a nice web page, custom font style is difficult. Of course we are talking about the traditional display of letters, without taking account of innovations such as this. Perhaps for some it is simple - for me there.
I do not like to use the trite, conventional and banal cuts. While I understand the use of clear Arial, Verdana or tahomy in paragraphs, so finding the right, fancy-cut and style for headers and śródtytułów is always a challenge for me.
Recently, I noticed (I know - I should know this) that some cuts in the style of italic letters, they look totally different than the style simple.
For example, Georgia:

and it would seem that inclined Georgia should look like this (simulated by a straight cut skewed in Photoshop):


Meanwhile:

There is a difference, right?
Such examples are more, I just need to find them. Therefore I decided to write a simple machine to search for unusual settings for fonts.
Http://www.uranik.pl/fonttest/ placed at a simple script that shows the combinations of three of the five major design parameters for the selected typeface letters:
italic, bold, small caps (small-caps), printing rozstrzelonego and concentrated.
Fonts letters you can choose from the drop-down bar at the top or bottom. I chose the most versatile typefaces, sometimes referred to as "websafe fonts. For their selection posiłkowałem to this site. Of course, this list can extend / taper (any comments please.) The whole CSS described the universal language, understandable to everyone.

How do I move a blog from the WordPress Blox? April 20, 2010 Answer below, bold.
I made the decision to move for half a year ago. The first plan was such that by using PHP to parse bloxie blog and prepare the file to import to WordPress.Kombinowałem, kombinowałem and counted up:) Finally I sat down and przekleiłem entire blog ... ... by hand (176 entries with illustrations). Comments also manually (129 units with links to authors). Also manually set the original date of publication.
Yes, it hurt, but it was worth. Right now I feel more freedom, wishes and plans. And no restrictions. Just graphics, few amenities and changes ...
I will continue publishing a blog in the former - just an interesting, short and compact information. Those that might be useful. If you are a Webmasterka in any way - worth a bump. Welcome.

Creating a black and white version of the web January 21, 2010 One client, who have done quite a complex layout and template web site (over 2000 lines of CSS, some 200 List player Player graphic) commissioned me to do a version of it in shades of gray. Black and white was to be everything - from the colors defined in the CSS, through graphics and kończywszy the favikonce. Initially I was looking on the Internet webaplikacji, what would it all (or almost everything) done for me automatically. Why not bad looking, maybe too short, but - not found. I found only webaplikację GrayBit which actually turns the page devoid of color, but 1) works very slowly, 2) doing it for preview purposes and not used in an additional version of the page 3) transformed by downloading files this tool is very difficult.
Despite this, I decided to take advantage of this application and succeeded - after playing with downloading multiple files, change of addresses in the downloaded files, CSS and HTML I was able in minutes to create a gray version of the portal (B / JPG files because of the loss of quality created from new). But I still can not believe that the Internet does not exist webaplikacja kidding it quickly, easily and pleasantly.Marzeneim utility is receiving a package from the template zip file and 'casting up "the same package, only that the files and the definitions of colors transformed in shades of gray.

Unusual use of CSS January 15, 2010 I am and always been a fan of unusual, original and unique projects, carried out using common technology. Such creative ideas (such as the one presented some time ago on subjectivist) I'm very motivated. Here is an interesting example of using CSS to program interactive animation. The idea is very simple (although tedious and time-consuming execution), and the effect of knocks in my opinion. Let us repeat: None of Javascript, only HTML and CSS (hover on the picture below to see the effect):

Collection of on-line applications January 2, 2010 Topics of this blog requires me to place a link to a sizeable collection of free on-line applications for editing music, video and graphics. Good to have these links at your fingertips. Incidentally, I wonder if now would be possible to completely change the applications on-line and carry out all projects and orders, using only one of them. And if not now, when? I admit that I am tempted by this possibility, and perhaps in 2010, a trial experiment will proceed in this regard. :)
